A good product needs a shop that sells
You have a good product. Visitors come to your Shopify shop. Still, too few order.
Then it may be due to how your shop explains the product and guides customers to purchase.
Do visitors immediately understand what you offer? Do they find the right product? Are their most important questions answered? Or do they have to navigate through confusing categories and conflicting information?
Shopify conversion optimization addresses exactly that. It aims to help more existing visitors make a purchase decision.
An installed theme is not yet a finished sales process
A theme provides the technical and design foundation. What you make of it determines how clearly your offering is communicated.
Images must match the product and show relevant details. Categories should facilitate the search. Buttons must clearly indicate what happens next.
If these elements don't fit together, uncertainty arises. And an uncertain visitor often leaves the shop before ordering.
ANTWORKS: From around 50,000 to 60,000 to 200,000 Euros net revenue
ANTWORKS already had a Shopify shop and a strong product. However, the presentation did not do justice to the offering.
Images, calls to action, and categories did not create a clear overall picture. Visitors had to unnecessarily orient themselves instead of quickly understanding which product suited them.
Before our collaboration, the annual net revenue was around 50,000 to 60,000 Euros. In the first year with 5pm, ANTWORKS achieved 200,000 Euros net revenue.
This represents more than a threefold increase.
This result describes a single client project. It is not a guarantee for other shops. However, it shows the potential that can arise when a good offering and a clear shop design come together.
What should you check in your Shopify shop?
Four areas are particularly important:
-
Homepage: Is it quickly clear what you sell and for whom?
-
Navigation: Do customers find the right category directly?
-
Product page: Are benefits, features, delivery conditions, and common questions explained clearly?
-
Checkout process: Is the next step clear and simple?
This is about concrete purchase barriers. A larger button helps little if the customer doesn't yet know whether the product meets their requirements.
More advertising doesn't solve every sales problem
If visitors fail due to unclear information or a difficult product search, sending more people into the same problematic process with additional advertising won't help.
Therefore, it's worth checking your shop before significantly increasing your advertising budget.
As a Shopify agency in Vienna, we at 5pm help identify such weaknesses and prioritize improvements based on their benefit.
